    sammlermws,

A great find. Are their any markings in the brown K98 style ammo pouches? If so, would you post them please.

    Regards,

    Gordon

There are/were markings under the flaps but were for some reason painted over. I will try and get a photo of it or clean off the black paint.

I adjusted contrast and color to try and highlight whats left of the marking

Here is the other pouch, completely obscured

Here is a website I found showing the pouches, says they were used by KVP or Betriebskampfgruppen

        Some excellent Kills Genosse.

The Water Bottle cover is an odd colour, most interesting.

          sammlermws,

Thanks for the interior views of the 98k style pouches. Hopefully you will be able to clean off enough of the black paint for us to identify the markings. Much appreciated.

I am envious of the SKS pouches I could do with a second one

You never know what you will find in surplus stores.

I just found a set of NVA Paratrooper FDA on a rack in size m56. One jacket and two pairs of pants and all in new condition.

                Pays to poke around!

I agree with TimoJ, you NEVER know what you can find in surplus stores. Back in the summer my friend and I went to a surplus store in downtown. I managed to find an NVA gray shirt jacket from the EARLY 1970s! It's kind of amazing to me because we all know most DDR stuff being sold in North America is from the 1980's.

Best of luck with your collection.
