    Shoulderboards -- DDR?

    Hi guys,

I picked these up today at a fleamarket. I've been told they may be from the DDR.

Or could they be Bundeswehr? Can I have some more opinions please?

    Thank you.

    Best regards,

Maybe West German Civy for some Musicians or so. Also in the Bundeswehr, white is for Military Musicians, but they don't use these Boards.

Not Bundeswehr. Not NVA. But they might still be German and they could be from some kind of uniform wearing club or association. Cheers, Torsten.

Thank you all for your help

I asked the guy, who was there again today. He claims these are from a West German marching band in the '60s.

Does that make any sense to anyone? Sounds close to Torsten and Nico's suggestions.

Marching Bands, shooting clubs, carnival clubs and so on might use all sorts of types of shoulder boards ... this may indeed have been made as a copy of something else, but it could have ended up being used by some marching band or whatever, if they thought it looked cool. there is no value to these. I would give them back and get your money back. cheers, torsten.

Thanks Torsten. I was going to list them on the eStand for $500. Too much?

Kidding, obviously. I got them with this toy, and a 1914 EK1 for $25, so I'm not too worried about getting a refund.

that was a very good deal ... but the boards might as well go in the bin ...
