I have received it today, so here are the extra pictures.

Any new opinions, or confirmation of old thoughts, are very welcome

With it, I received another "small" treat

    Thanks!

My opinion would be to buy a new display head

Close up pictures of the piping on the side cap please, it doesn't look very even in the pictures. I know for sure normal side caps have had piping added.... look it over VERY carefully inside and out.

Thanks for the opinions on the head x) Perhaps it needs a shave?

About the piping: what should there be? What should it look like? Or what are the red flags?
To me, it looks ok, but you're the better-informed fellow forum-member ^^

It is probably fine, but the photo makes the piping look uneven, the sort of things to look for.....

          1. Is the stitching around the crown neat and the same colour as the rest of the cap
          2. Is the piping mainly even all around
          3. Has the liner been opened up at any point

            2. Mainly even, indeed. Just that spot that you saw earlier on the pictures seems a bit uneven.
            3. Doesn't look like that. All is well inside.

            1. The crown (I guess cockade ^^) is stitched very neatly to the cap, with red thread. Is 'stitching around the crown' something different than the stitching of the cockade to the cap?

The crown is the top of the hat around which the piping sits.

If all looks OK then be happy

The crown... That's something to remember, thanks

It does look ok anyways; there's nothing wrong with this cap's crown ^^
