    VOVP winter 3/4 coat

    Gentlemen,

We discussed this type of coat some time ago. Seems to me we were searching for the proper name for them then. Anyone know what they were called by the VOPO?

    Regards,

    Gordon

I know them as "Einsatzjacke". the whole Set was called "Einsatzanzug".
there was also a Liner Set to use it in cold Weather or in warm Weather without the Liners.

            Thanks for your suggestion.

            Nico,

My jacket is missing the liner. What you said seems to indicate this was part of a complete uniform. Would there have ben pants to go with this coat? What did the "Einsatzanzug" consist of?

            Regards,

            Gordon

I know Jacket, pants and both liners. They're grey and look like the modern greatcoat liners, but removable. does your Jacket has te loops for the Belt?

                Nico,

There are no belt loops on my jacket.

                  Gordon,

We did discuss these critters some time ago and at that time we thought they were called a "Uniformjoppe" in the regulations. At least that was they were cited in the regs but there was no corresponding picture of the joppe.

A variant then Genosse Gordon Craig, mine have loops and a nasty belt complex.

                      George,

Thanks for jogging my memory. I remember that now that you have mentioned it. I didn't have one these coats at that time so couldn't comment. So, until we find out otherwise it will be "Uniformjoppe".

                      Regards,

                      Gordon
