Very nice! I particularly like the way the flare is rounder in these early ones. In later Stiefelhose it is quite a bit squarer with a rounded off corner if you see what I mean. The funny thing is that everybody thinks this style of trousers as very Germanic but it isn't... it is instead VERY British ... British Army officers had these very flared trousers in WW1 not German ones.

Jokes aside... the fact that Wachregiment Stiefelhose had belt loops is now confirmed by several veterans on the German speaking forum. When I started that thread it was a mere speculation, but we are past that...

My apologies for forgetting about you been awarded the Banner der Arbeit! I hope you won't have the impression that I don't appreciate the work you did for the working-class, because I do.
Interesting thread. I bought two of these stiefelhosen a minute ago from good old Bernhard because they can't be absent in my collection. Cheers!
