notice the special Wachregiment tunics worn with closed collar during the 'parade'. I seem to notice dress shoulder boards worn on the Winter padded suit. The general is Generlamajor Bernhard Elsner who commanded for 15 years (1972-1987). His cuff title should be embroidered in gold.

Check this out!! I scanned these photos from the father of a freind in Germany recentlly. Anything look similar?

These guys must have been in the same unit at the same time; notice the same recon patch on the left sleeve and obviously the same photo of this small group.
Wow, I just got really excited after looking at the photos above!

What I know about this guy is that he was a 3 year volunteer and assigned to Felix Dziersynsky at Berlin-Adlershof. He was honor guard and performed duties for political events. His highest rank was unteroffizier and his awards included the schutznschnur, fallschirmspringerabz., bester.
