Not actual photos of real former NVA Fallschirmjager, but might be of interest just the same:

Pages 111 and 172 of the newest Keubke/Kunz Uniform book shows examples of the straight legged pants being worn by both officers and NCOs as a Walkingout (Ausgang) Dress Uniform.

I have read the Keubke bible translation and just found out that from 1986 on the Keilhose could be worn for parade !! Not found the info yet for earlier times !

Here is my Officer para parade jacket. I hope this helps. The date of the jacket is 1972.

Nice one indeed.... but I thought this type of collar tabs was discontinued after 1969 ???

Interesting observations by Olivier and Paul. The Fallschirmjager switched to open collar Tunics (Like that of the Air Force) and the new pattern Orange Collar Insignia 1969/70.

There were of course interesting unique exceptions to everything. That unfortunately, is the problem with DDR memorabilia.

I have a Fallschirmjager Dark Collar Service Tunic. Cannot find markings on it anywhere. Cannot say 100% for sure it is pre 1971.

Of course, no one can say it isn't.

You are correct. I went back and checked the code again it is K for 1968. I am not sure why I put 1972. I guess a little to much red wine that evening, sorry and thank you for correcting me.

                        No problem.

That is a great Dark Collar Tunic.
