Offered DDR memorbilia, but got no clue about ddr value

Due to my work, i visit Germany very often. Last time I got in contact with a man who offered me original DDR memorbilia. I told him I only collected ww2 memorbilia, but he told more people are collecting these items. I'm a frequent visitor of this website, so i visited this section for the first time....

He send me some picures of what he's got in stock. I've got no idea about the value of these items. Could some of you guys help me on this one? He guerantees everything is original and unworn. This is just a small section of what he offered. Maybe a stuppid question, but isn't there a Estand section for DDR memorbilia? Thank you guys in advance !

Oh no.. I am sorry to say Genosse.. but there is just so much wrong with this lot. What you have here is a true DDR collector's nightmare! The base articles are genuine, like the coat, jackets, some of the insignia etc.. But they are grossly mis-represented and thrown together. First off, absolutely none of it is STASI as is claimed. The cuff titles are fake fantasy pieces that don't even appear to be sewn to the sleeves. Let's just start from the top..

          First Image:
Army enlisted man's dark collar over coat, with un-matching police shoulder boards and tabs. The coat could go for $40-50 maybe and the insignia is worth peanuts.

          Second Image:
MENS (not womens) army service dress jacket and shirt with an infantry shooting cord and what appears to be an Army officers visor cap with a police officer's chin cord. Could be worth.. I dunno.. $30-40? but on close inspection, it looks like the fake cuff title was glued to the sleeve, so that would lower the jacket's value considerably.

          Third Image:
Run of the mill Army enlisted mans service dress jacket with senior officer boards, officer breeches, Army officer's visor cap presentation cord.. the rest looks fake. Again, the base items here are worth sub $50 all together and the tunic is again likely ruined by the gluing of the fake cuff title.

These items are un-issued because they were manufactured in mass even after they ceased to be issued in the last days of the DDR. They are relatively inexpensive and much nicer, un-tampered with examples can be found.

Tell this man to get lost! I am sure he is probably asking way too much for these bastardized cold war pieces anyway.

This man 'Lagermaulwurf' should be prosecuted! When does the hurting, each time I visit ebay, stop?

defenitly lagermaulwurf.. quite recognisible..(<-if that's said right.)

i guess he has quite some uniforms.. rips em apart, put some glue on a wall. and throws all the parts on that same wall.. in my opinion.

don't have to many good words for him.

                    greetz,

Regardless of its authenticity (or lack...) I'd still take that sword. Am I a bad NVA collector?
