Need help with shoe size and date

    Hello,
I didn't knew where to put this, so I just choose for this thread.

I've just bought these post-war civilian shoes for a ww2 display.

They're clearly marked, but I don't know what the markings mean. Normally there is a german shoe size marking (for example 28), but I can't see that here. I also can't decide what marking is the date. Would it be 1955?

I hope someone can help me.

    Thanks,
    Frank

Do you have a complete side view? I think it's not EG.

      Thanks,

EG = East Germany. They were certainly made in the territory of East Germany, as the maker location can be read as i./Sa. - in Sachsen (Saxony), but I think that they are likely to be pre-1945 made. Cheers, Torsten.
