Where did all of the Kampfgruppen FDA go?

Something that has been on my mind for a bit has been, Where did all the Kampfgruppen uniforms (FDA) go?

It was like they just never came into the markets like other FDA did.

    Does anyone know?

There's load of KdA uniforms knocking around - or at least of the later variants anyway...

However they were quite easy to sell on, given that the only military thing about them was the KdA patch on them (and few know what it means) so I guess the bulk became work wear and stuff for tramps quite quickly.

You always see that with militaria - the easier something is to use as a non-military item, the quicker it is gone.

Or thinking about it, it is time for me to redeploy my fave KdA theory, that they still exist, hiding in the mountains as a resistance movement and are at all times preparing to strike back and re-establish Marxist-Leninism... for they are the Elite Shock Troops of the SED

Ssssssshhh don't give our position away!

We've been engaged in maximum training mode over Christmas - eating pies and drinking beer, ready for our spring offensive!

I bought one on e-bay several years ago with the patches and a chest full of KdA medals. However when I recieved it, it was NVA marked, not MdI. So I suspect it was a Civil Defense or Red Cross jacket at one time and converted to look like a KdA jacket.

That strikes me as odd... in my experience ZV stuff is MUCH harder to find than KdA.

But the modern primitive ear DISKS are OK ?

It does give one an idea of sizes around though.
