Initially I mistakenly thought you were shopping around for answers after already getting them.
Upon re-reading the thread (and link) I realized you did not get the answer for which you asked.
Thank you for coming to the DDR Forum and inquiring further.
To answer your questions, the medals are a combination of East German Police (3) and Kampfgruppen (1).
Uwe and Gordon have already responded and told you the correct sequence for the medals.
You further asked what they were and I hope I answered that for you.
To further help, I'm attaching a pic of what the ribbon bar should look like. I apoligize for the poor quality. It is late (after 2am) and I had to use indoor lighting and flash.Attached FilesLast edited by Michael D. Gallagher; 12-13-2009, 03:23 AM.Michael D. GALLAGHER

Hi Jason,
And thanks for joining this DDR Forum.
In my opinion, this bar is an easy to find one. I understand you have bought it. I just would like to suggest you take time to read the threads and posts of this Forum, because you will make easily your own opinion about what is rare or not. For such a current bar, I don't believe it is worthwile to take time to change ribbons, orders of medals... except if you get it at a real bargain price and want it to be used only as a space filler or display on a uniform...
Just my two cents...
Cheers.
Ch.

Hi Jason,
Glad to see you on the forum. I can tell you from experience that this forum is filled with extremely knowledgeable individuals. They have always been very helpful in answering questions. Doing a search on the forum will often lead you to pertinent threads but if a search does not provide answers, we love being confronted with DDR mysteries and enigmas -- it sends all of us scrambling to the hit the reference books and photo albums.

Oops
You are quite correct Uwe. It was late (2:00am); and I am not nearly as well read on MdI awards as I am on NVA. Consequently I was using DDR Spezialkatalog 1949 - 1990 Band 1 Staatliche Auszeichnungen as the source.
Interestingly it has the MdI merit and faithful service medals listed in the incorrect sequence as to order of merit.
Thanks for pointing out the error of my ways.
Here then are the medals displayed in their correct order of merit.Attached FilesLast edited by Michael D. Gallagher; 12-13-2009, 12:30 PM.Michael D. GALLAGHER

Hi Michael,
No, please see pages 174 to 177 in that book, Bartel DDR Spezialkatalog Band I Staatliche Auszeichnungen. That is the order of precedence (... sind in nachstehender Reihenfolge zu tragen).
From left to right:
- Verdienstmedaille der Organe des Ministeriums des Innern in Silber (page 176, first listing)
- Verdienstmedaille der Organe des Ministeriums des Innern in Bronze (page 176, first listing)
- Verdienstmedaille der Kampfgruppen der Arbeiterklasse in Gold (page 176, second listing)
- Medaille für Treue Dienste in den bewaffneten Organen des Ministeriums des Innern in Gold für 25 Jahre (page 177, eleventh listing).
