    bread bag opinions please

    hi guys,

I would like to ask yours opinions for this one bread bag.

I show you the thread of Wehrmacht Equiptment Forum and I post these pictures:

"Gents - Now the question is early Bundeswehr or early NationaleVolksArmee.

The leather reinforcement on the belt loops is usually indicative of the Bundeswehr.

The pigskin leather strips for the attachment of the mess kit and field flask look like East German handy work. The unit nomenclature sounds like the NVA as well.

Gabor - If you're still curious about this intriguing piece, it may be worthwhile to post some pictures on the DDR Forum. The equipment experts there should be able to solve this mystery.

    All the best - TJ"

    All informations are welcome.

    regards Gabor

                Genosse,

It has DDR Production features, material Etc. , but I have never seen one with leather re-enforcing on the belt loops or those " Markings", it may have been traitorously adjusted for a re-enactor..

How many holes do the Buttons have ?, has the internal leather loop been cut out?.

If so a harsh price will be levied on any wrecker of State Property...

                  hi Viktor,

No, no is not taken uncut. I can see there the internal leather loop

I see 3 holes on the inside leather and 2x2 holes on the outside leather for per sides.
I think, that the fabric material of sufficient novelty.

                  regards Gabor

                          I would say 3.R. AR5 1B = Artillerieregiment No.5 ; 1. Batterie.
                          try it in the 3.R.Forum.
Not 1 of my DDR Bags was like this and I had thousands of them. and the leather isn't pigskin. It's only printed Cowskin.
