I was attempting with the examples depicted, to illustrate that there was very early on (1957) an Air Borne unit (Air Force ?) and a sleeve patch associated to the unit - also 1957. I wanted to re-emphasize the existence of such based upon what I have been made to understand is a symbol utilized only by the Air Force - the DDR "Diamond"; and that even into the 60s there appeared to be Air Borne devices associated to the NVA Air Force.

    But your point is well taken. The thread has gone off mark.

    I'll effect coordination with Ralph pursuant to cutting off a section of this thread and moving it to a knew one. He is much better at that, than am I.

    I could also just delete my stuff since I seem to be the primary and biggest violator. That might actually be a better solution and quicker too.
    And I don't mind at all.
    what do you think?

    Unless there is an existing thread that covers this I think it would be good to continue this as a seperate thread. Especially the discussion on the Air Force Parachute Service.
