Sportsmans Guide Falli vest is Sturm repro

Well from the photo on Sportsman guide webpage the vest looked like an original and for 25 bucks who could pass it up. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/c....aspx?a=271423

So I ordered one just to see what I would get. Below is what came today. Definitely a repro, even says made in China. The rain pattern material in much thinner and darker than the originals that I have. At one time SG may have had originals now they are selling Sturm repros. It is missing the mag pouch and has a second same mask bag attached in its place. Also the cannister pouch is missing from the rear. It has a M52 marking in the neck but no stamps on the inside near the pistol pocket. It even has a washing instruction label sewn in.

I still don't know why there is such a demand for falli vests that Sturm decided to make repros, at least they didn't make them so good that we can't easily tell the repros from the originals. Has anyone else ordered one from them recently and received something different?

I also took a chance on these and ordered two. Nothing to lose but return shipping. Looked at UPS tracking earlier today to see my order "out for delivery". Needless to say, not as eager to get home and open up my packages as I was a few hours ago.

I think, half a Year ago I wrote the Story of these Vests somewhere in this Forum. Anything what can be sold for good money is faked. Even the Felt Boots.
