    Non-Strichtarn Helmet Cover

A few months ago I bought this helmet cover for 2,50 euro, and I kept forgetting to post it here for ID-ing. I don't know what it is exactly, only that it is the exact same model as the strichtarn helmet cover, only then not with strichtarn on it :P
It also has the face veil and everything

Michel - I believe it is for the DDR Worker's Militia (Fighting Groups of the Working Class or Kampfgruppen der Arbeiterklasse, KdA).

    Nice grab for 2.50!

Da! Genosse michelwijnand, as our Genosse has pointed out it is a KdA Helmet Cover/Hood and you recovered it for a Good Price.

OK, thanks to both of you, I never knew that they had helmet covers too, does the Zivilverteidigung also have them? Because I bought a ZV jacket and it has the exact same color.
Are these covers rare? For me this was the first time I ever saw one.

Never had them with ZV Stuff, but in Packets of 5 Sets together with Jackets and Pants for the Kampfgruppen, so 5 Hoods, 5 Jackets and 5 Pants.
The Regulation say's Hood and not Helmet Cover. Oficially authorised is only the Net.

Not that uncommon really and yes ZV gear is roughly the same material as KdA. Remember the uniforms are actually a different cut though.

Asked a friend who was ZV Commander at the MAH. They didn't used the Helmet Covers or actually Hoods, only plain Helmets, if needed. Normally they had workers Helmets and not the Steel Pots.

BTW, the MAH was the Ministerium für Aussenhandel - Ministry of Foreign Trades
