Hey, Genosse Ian here. I've been gone a whiule, but while I was gone I found a strichtarn gas-mask bag for $5 at a surplus store. the guy gave me all the stuff in it as well, which consisted of a large green plastic tarp with small black plastic clasps, and a pair of thin, white cotton golves. I don't know much of the contents in NVA gas mask bags, but what is normally in those bags when issued?
Also, the bag has the later issue UTV green web belt loops, which make it late 80s or 1990 issue. but, the inside (rubberized) has only one maker mark that I can find inside the main flap the reads '86'. Being that there is no 'NVA' or quarter and letter identification typical of most NVA items, is this mark sufficient to date this bag around 1986? Not sure if factory codes on gas mask bags differ or not. Anyway, and response would be appreciated. Pix as well.
-All the best, Ian
