    This one is a field cap for officers in the earlier form with open earflaps. It would have been used like this between the early 1960s and would have started being replaced by the later model with stitched ear flaps over the course of the 1970s. It is common to see a mixture of the two types of caps being worn in photographs even as late as 1988 or so.

      Let see the stamp for the exact date. It's the older type Officers Cap with open Earflaps.
