    Military justice insignia

I got these shoulder boards. If I remember right, it's military justice device on them. But did the Stasi have this department? is the combination in the photo correct? And is military justice included in Rear Services of the Army? so if in the Army, these devices should be on dark green edged boards?

Frank - The MfS did have members who were involved with military justice. But I am unaware of the pin being on the shoulder boards...but I maybe wrong. Do you have any data or pictures to show them being worn?

You're right, it's an idiotic combination.

            Frank:

Dave M is correct that the shoulder board devices are for NCO's of the Volksmarine.

A Stasi or NVA legal officer would have worn the sleeve patch only - no shoulder board devices. I believe the wearing of Dienstlaufbahnabzeichen was eliminated after 1986.

              Thanks, Rev462.
More questions, VM military justice officers didn't wear these devices? only NCOs?
and what branch color was used on the shouder boards of Stasi or NVA legal officers?

                Frank,

A Stasi Legal Justice Officer would have continued wearing the Stasi branch color.

The NVA Legal Justice Officer would under normal circumstances, have worn the Rear Service branch color.
