    Volksmarine bluse / shirt?

    Hello,

In my local army surplus shop I bumped into these two shirts. I found them with other Volksmarine items . Now the strange thing is that there is no anchor on the buttons... I found a blue and a white variant. Would these shirts have been used for the enlisted men?

Because the shirts were still wrapped in plastic I couldn't make any better pictures but I hope you can still help me.

In case they are volksmarine I must run back to the surplus shop.

    Thanks already!!

Thanks! Wow! In that case I shall be on the doorstep of the shop tomorrow! Usually I'm not in to the gerneraluniforms so I really don't know what a good price would be. The shop owner asked 15 euros for it. Is that acceptable?

I visited Alistair (=Sfrankish on Ebay) last Wednesday and he had a pile of these. I had noticed them on an earlier visit. Apparently Sturm are selling them as ordinary shirts. The interesting element to them is the better quality material (more cotton) and the cuff links made up of two buttons.

              P.S.
I have other concerns at the moment: I bought black overalls ...

No way, Sturm sells them as Generals Shirts, they're about 6 times more expensive than the "Normal" ones. Must say that it was 2 weeks ago, I visited him and I don't think that he changed this. What concerns about black coveralls? He also found some crates of them in a corner of the storage and i got some of them, only 44 and 48, some used, some new. The 56 ones I use in my carpenter shop for work.

Thanks for your answers and info! I will recover this state property asap!

The seller didn't knew anything about the shirts so I guess they must be genuine. Most of the sizes were very attractive: 39,40,41 etc. He also had white Volksmarine hemdblusen for 10 euro. These also are getting hard to acquire these days.

15 Years ago I sold the VM ones for 5 Marks and then it was better to cut off the buttons and sell them single as nobody wanted the shirts. Ok, I did it only with the kids sizes. But then you could joke with the customers.
"I pay you 2 Marks for it (They came in the original package). No, then I can throw them away. No you won't do that." So I took a Bayonet, cut it and throw it under the Table, 10 min. later somebody asked for 6 Pairs of Buttons for Shoulder Boards. A Blouse has 12 Button's. So I had my Money and a rag for cleaning the Showcases.
