You mean the absolventenabzeichen? I didn't know there are fakes of them, they're not rare at all. Why don't you post a pic?

Hello cabbell2207 - Could you please post the ebay auction in question, thanks...
Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

        Cabell2207,

If you can PM Ralph with the link or number to the ebay auction, he can respond to your question.

I am in agreement with others who have posted already. I don't know of any of these badges being faked yet. They are so plentiful, I don't think there is a need.

But we are not 100% sure which badges you are making reference to?
There were the academy badges - white and blue, and an assortment of other MfS badges as well.

That is why Ralph needs for you to send him a PM with the link or ebay number.

          Sorry gang,
I'm new at collecting east German i usually collect German ww2 medals and such. I'm so use to German items being faked i just assumed the east German was the same. The badges that i had seen were the academy blue and white triangles, guess i never thought they made a ton of them.
          thanks all

            ...several tons, I'd say. :-)

In my opinion they're even overvalued at 15$ (the price I recently payed for one of those).

Here you a great thread about them.

            Regards,

If as you say they are the white and blue MfS academy badges, then you are okay. There were several variations, but all that are currently out there, to the best of my knowledge, are legite.
