I have just stumbled upon an Ebay auction for those Soviet stickers with a Red Star and the letters CA underneath. These are obviously in the cyrillic alphabet and stand for something like "Sovietsky Armeeya" (difficult to trans-litterate the pronunciation... of which I am none too sure) = Soviet Army.
The vendor says that in the DDR they were said to mean
CAMPING ALEMANIA



I am not sure whether the story is apocriphal but I thought it was funny and worth sharing...
