    A quick question: did they wear AF shoulder boards or trapo ones? thanks.

    Officers Yes, EM No.
    The Wachtmeister used the normal Trapo ones.

      So officers and EM of the same unit had different branch colors on shoulders? that is a very unusual practice, isn't it?

        Not for them!
        Just remember that the EM Boards of the AF have a grey basic colour. Looks more ugly than Blue.
        The Collars are of AF Design for all ranks.

          I know they all wore AF tabs, I was talking about the color of piping on shoulder boards. Same unit, different shoulder board colors.
          And I suppose it was not for the color why they didn't wear the AF EM grey boards, it was the matter of different rank systems.

            I have the original MdI Dress Regulation and it says:
            EM = Trapo
            Off= AF

              I don't doubt that, Nico, just what an unusual practice, almost can't be found anywhere else in the world.
