Hello,just got a set off a VOPO officer.Strange about is that he started at 1966 as a NVA unter officier till 1969.
He got the treue dienste MDI 25 years.Urkunde is without date.
rank was VP rat A.D.Signed by Dietel.
If I count well he must got it in 1991????.

another pic.he was involved in the kampfgruppen.There where 2 documents,stamps,3 medals and coins and pictures from the kampfgruppen.

It is a made up certificate. He was evidently a Major in the Volkspolizei and Rat is the equivilent for Major in the West german police and therefore, VP-Rat does not exist and never did, but he made this for himself and mixed together the Volkspolizei and the west german rank and an old DDR certificate that he found somewhere .. PS: Just like I could have awarded myself the NVA 20 years long service medal and certificate last year.. ;-)

Hi Ralph, that document is not official ... its made up. Maybe his family or friends gave to him for his 25th anniversary in the police or when it would have been his 25th anniversary ... Cheers, Torsten.

See the addition a.D. = ausser Dienst = retired/inactive.
