    Regulierer Armbands and Pennants

Genossen - I just received this lot of Regulierer pennants and armbands as well as the 1955, 1958, and 1963 "Aktivist" award booklets of Mr. Otto Arno.

Also enclosed were BRD "Ausweis fuer Vertriebene and Fluechtlinge" belonging to Margaret Poethig and Elisabeth Poethig.

If anyone wants more details or photos let me know.

    TJ

TJ - Thanks for starting this thread. I would be interested in seeing more pictures of the id booklets when time permits.

      Thanks...

Ralph - I'll start off with Herr Arno's Five Year Activist Booklet dated "13.10.1955".

        First, the cover.

The next pages contain platitudes from Pieck and Herbert Warnke.

Here is Herr Arno's personal information. The city of his birth is somewhat obscured; it looks like Grossmitz. Presumably there is a 5 Year Activist badge out there with the serial # 708943 inscribed on the back?

I would not call this platitudes! It might be interesting to note that the idea of a united Germany was seen as an achievable target. (in the text by H Warnke).

TJ - Thanks for the initial pictures of the from the first ID booklet. I find page seven interesting with the 1954 and 55 dates.

Dag - Would you mind expanding a little more on the theme of Warnke's text?
I'm really curious now about the DDR's views on reunification in the early 1950s.

                          Thanks - TJ

Compared to the 1955 document, it is very sparse.
