          This is a great group, but I have a question on the differences in the direction that the ribbons are wrapped: why are some wrapped left over right and some the opposite direction.

          I noticed that particularly the silver and bronze meritorious service medals and on the ones that I would consider "civilian" are wrapped opposite of the long service medals and the gold meritorious service medal.

            Don't ask me! I don't know what they did, but I've seen it often on Bars.
            Look at the ones I posted on E-Stand on the Kampfgruppen Lot. The lower row is in the "wrong" direction. Even if it's not by the regulation, it must be tolerated as the Bars were used on the Uniforms.
