What changes were there to the uniform wear and appearance of the NVA in 1989?
I know of:
Engels cufftitle removed from Neue Wache Guards
Moustaches were beginning to be allowed
Replaced Staatswaapen with Bullseye
Generals replaced staatswaapen uniform buttons with plain ones
New camouflage uniforms with sleeve rank
UTV?

Anything else?

Only just before the reunification between july and october 1990, a political change certainly not planned by the NVA itself.
