Hi martin, sorry but I can't see any of the pics. If you want, then feel free to email them to me and I'll post them for you. Cheers, Torsten.

          Martin,

The pictures look good to me. This is way outside my area of expertise but the pin type and latch (FIRST TYPE) are correct for the the time period of this badge (1954-1959).

          Regards,

          Gordon

Gordon/Martin, can you see pics in the thread? I cannot see any? Cheers, Torsten.

Thanks Gordon, from the info I have it was introduced in 1954 there is a
              no-serial number type as well.

Torsten, I could have a fellow from work email you the pics later today if they
              still cannot be seen.

Very nice piece! I would not repair the "hinge" as, I'm assuming, you don't intend to wear it. Repairs, as well as "cleanings", have been known to devalue the item.

                    Martin,

It occures to me, after reading your response, that I wasn't clear in my post. The years quoted, 1954 to 1959, were the years that the badge was issued, not the time frame that type of pin back was used.

                    Torsten,

The pictures are clear to me.

                    Regards,

                    Gordon
