    NVA Cuff Title Position

Are all cuff titles on NVA tunics positioned slightly above the pipping on the arm cuff?

    #2
From what I've seen, the Dzierzynski cuff titles were placed so they were touching the cuff piping, or nearly so.

The other cuff titles were generally placed about 3/8 - 1/2 inch above the piping.

I think that's about right...pic of a Dz. cuffband. Cheers, Torsten.

          MatherS,

Regulations call for the cuff band to be one centimetre above the piping on the arm.

          Regards,

                  Matthew S,

VPKA has given the correct measurements for the ZV cuff band. When considering a tunic from a Wacht type regiment there is more to consider than just the location of the cuff band. Personally I prefer them to be in the correct location as per regulations. The cuff band should not be sewn through the lining of the tunic. Since these tunics were made specifically for this regiment, the ends of the cuffband should be sewn into the sleeve seam when the tunic was made. As well, regiments of this type wore tunics made of officer type material. If the tunic is made of the cheaper enlisted men's material it would be incorrect.

                  Regards,

                  Gordon
