              1. As stated by Torsten, summer blouson worn instead of the jacket. Post 1987 made (2 buttons on the pocket).

              2. Service shirt worn under the jacket. Exist in white for parade and walking out.
              For the "N" I don't know but size related.

                N = Normal sleeve length
                L = Longer sleeves

                The Buttons on the sleeve of the Hemdbluse are to fasten a flap on the inside when the sleeves are rolled up. This could be done, according to regulations once the temperature was higher than something, but Dirk and Torsten have told us that it practically never happened...

                  that´s right,. It must be ordered by the Ministry, and hot enough ( i think above 35 degrees Celsius) than it was allowed to roll up th sleeves. I can´t remember that it ever was happened...

                          Andreas, does the shirt only have that button on the right sleeve or is it also on the left sleeve? Cheers, Torsten.

                            Slightly off topic but related to shirts. Does anyone have an early example of NVA shirt? Since black collar tunics are closed-collared, you cannot see shirt.

                            regards

                              Has anyone seen a mfs coded shirt?
