My Para-Major Tunic

Just got this great looking DDR-Para. Major tunic 2 weeks ago and wanted to share it with you . Posted by Bernd

Little closer view . The tuni came with a white summer tunic as a shirt inside , the tie , pants , brown leather belt , size mkd. 120 ; brown-gray wool gloves , hmkd. NVA 14 ; black and orange berets .

These Qualification Badges and Academy Badge came with the tunic . Para. jump badge shows 40 jumps .

May be someone can tell me what all these ribbons that came on the tunic, stand for ????

Interior of the tunic is marked : NVA g 56 ( large size )- 1850 - I/S ( 1st Quarter 1975 )

Inside of the Pants is marked : same as tunic size : g56 and NVA - D , which stands for 1990 ! So , I assume he bought these pants just before the 'Wende ' !

The pants have tapered cuffs and these tie straps.

The inside plastic diamond gives a "T" for the issue year of 1985 .
