Not my thing but........... here is an NVA General's Uniform. Looks too Soviet for my tastes.

You held a genuine NVA Truppenfahne in your hands!! I am very envious.
Are you the one modelling all the uniforms on that noted Statesides dealer's website?

Yes, That flag was the real deal! It was covered in metalic wire embroidery and It must have weighed about 40 pounds. It felt double that when on the end of a pole. I used to work for Gowenmilitaria and did a fair number of modeling for them as well. I think that he should have used different models just to change it up a bit though. We even got my wife, girlfriend at the time, to model a couple of outfits. Too bad they were a bit dumpy looking on her.

You look a bit young in that photo for such a high rank... unless, of course, you are portraying the elusive Jens Neffe!

Yes thats right far too young for the uniform. I wondered why an older model wasn't used for the photo. The arms were kinda stubby too. It belonged to some old short, fat, stubby, and crusty General. Chris

                      Hallo Chris,
glad to meet you at last, even in this online way . As a regular visitor to Bob's website, I have seen MANY photographs of you, and I often wondered where on earth you got the inspiration for that haircut , but having seen you wearing fascist stuff, I now know...
Over time, it was rather funny to see how you tried to shrink or expand depending on the size of the uniform you were given to wear, the more so with dark collar tunics... In this one you look like there has been an accident in the washing machine

Whilst you are positively swimming in this other one:

But it was always a very good effort! Well done. Both photographs obviously from Bob's website.

But having worn so many desirable uniforms, have you not been bitten by the bug? Or are you just sticking to fascist stuff?

I am way into early NVA stuff too. I'll try to get a digital pic of me in my 1957 vintage kit. Its just that my camera isn't working at this time. Yes, the haircut was certainly non period correct for DDR. Chris
