GST Vase in Honour of Stalins 73 Birthday

    Gents,

This vase was offered in a recent auction from Berlin. At a starting bid of 25,000.00 Euros there were no takers. Still, a vernice piece of Meisen pottery!

    Regards,

    Gordon

          Yes, very nice
I saw it up for auction.
I guess the starting bid of 25K was more related to the Meissen Vase itself and the very beauty made drawings on it and craftsmenship. But the drawings are all GST related and therefore probably not that attractive to Meissen Porcelain Collectors.

          Regards

P.S. It also has some chips on the bottom and because of that, I think 25K is much too much

Hello Gordon. Did you purchase this vase ?

                      If so: very nice item.
If not: how did you get all of these pictures?

                      Jon.

Jon, I think that at this price the auction Hoise can provicde many pictures.

                        Gordon said it didn't sold.

                          Hi, Bryan.

I noticed that when I first read the thread....what I meant was since there were no takers did he (Gordon) somehow manage to obtain the vase once the auction was closed.

                          Jon.

very nice vase, but way too expensive...I am surprised it does not have a big portrait of Stalin on it...if it did, then it would also have a better chance of selling now of course...but still not for the price, though...Cheers, Torsten.

                              Hi Jon,

The Photos are on the Auctionhouse Website.
But I guess you have to register first before you can view them.
