    so, the AKM (Type I) - DDR Modell 59 would be my best option since it had the longest year of service and overlaps mos tof the major changes in strichtarn designs?

      I stand corrected. I only own three of the five depicted. The First, Second, and Last bayonets pictured (side by side going from left to right).

        The type 1 AKM probably is your best bet if you don't want to collect the whole set. These can be found for a reasonable price.
