can you date my VM Schiffchen?

Hi all,

just got this VM Officers Schiffchen.

Only markings inside is the Size of 55.

Because the gold piping is made of pure metal wire only, I assume this Schiffchen is a quite early one.
Is anyone able to set a date on this Schiffchen?

Um! difficult to gauge without handling, but I guess I'd go for about 1962-67 based on what I can maybe a few years later at a push... nice cap Andreas

The details of the DDR emblem look no better than the later one though! I thought the early one were more detailed.
