    Thanks for the photo ralph
haven't seen such case before. But it makes perfect sense, because the VVO Urkundenmappe has the same colour in the different grades.

          Thanks for the Photos olivier

I tend to say that your Silver VVO is in a Case for the gold Version.

This is quite interesting, because we just found out that the VVO Urkundenmappe has the same colour like the Case. This is something I didn't know before

          Lets post more Cases!

Here is a photo of a VVO gold Urkunde. Looks like the same colour like Oliviers case.

Olivier - Your case appears to be more like a cream color case for you silver VVO.

Andreas - It might be my eyes, but is the color of your document cover off white, cream or gold color?

Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

                  Ralph,

Here is a photo of all 3 VVO Urkundenmappen.

Note, the silver one is the so called "Luxusmappe"

Andreas - It is interesting that they were known as Luxusmappen... Also good depiction of the slight color variant of the gold VVO document cover...

                          Gents,

One of the things I have worked on over the years is in trying to figure out if we could fix even approximate dates to award mappe. I haven't come to any firm conclusion because I got sidetracked from that particular research project by other interesting topics. I started this particular process because it would appear that over the years as the medals themselves underwent a change in construction due to cost restraints the Urkund changed in design and quality and so did the mappe. It became a concern of mine that if I was to spend the money necessary to buy a high end medal with an Urkunde from the same time period that it should also have a mappe from the same time period. Perhaps I can find some time in the next week to at least start a post on the work I have done on the VVOs and their associated urkunde and mappe.
Great thread Andreas and long over due.

                          Cheers,

                          Gordon

Here are pictures of the last VVO case. Bartells #5d.
First; the case in the plastic back it was shipped in. The bag is normally heat sealed shut when it arrives.
