    DDR Honour Ring

    Hi all,

just found a photo on the Internet of this DDR Honour Ring.

Does someone have more Information about those Rings?
or maybe a real Example to show?

    regards
    Andreas

I have seen such a ring made out of an early type klassispange before... It has been discussed somewhere... but that was long ago...

            Andreas,
if you read the description, you learn, this ring is existing only one time! It was given to one sprecial person, Johannes Dieckmann, for his 70th birthday. So I´m sure, you´ll not find another piece like this...

              Dirk,
Its a possibility but it doesn't say in the description that the Ring is the only known example.
Why would Dieckmann be the only person who received the "Ehrenring der DDR"?
There is a Book out there about "Ehrengeschenke der DDR". Maybe the Ring is in there. Could anybody who has that Book please check if its in there?
              Regards
              Andreas

wow...so it is genuine...but like Dirk already said, it looks like it was a 1-off commissioned piece for Johannes Dieckmann only....Cheers, Torsten.

                      Cool Andreas!
Great pieces. It´s good to know something more about the gouvernment rings. The two pieces were each given only to one special person. And they were made in the early 60ies...
Would be intresting to know, if there were even more "special" rings?

The "olympic"ring is also really cool! Never heard and seen before.
                      Thanx Andreas!
