I got these for 20 bucks. I tought they were related to the DDR, but now i think they are fantasy? any idea if these were ever used or comments?

They look similar to collar patches worn by officials with General rank from the TR period but these should only be piped on three sides and the backing should be dark green...it looks black, so I suspect you may be correct about the fantasy bit. sorry I can't help further, but they are not east german military.. -
