    Officers wearing Holsters

Did Officers were Makarov, or other holsters in daily use? Did they wear them in Parade? Please help me?

On parade an officer either wears the dagger or the sword. For Dienstuniform definitely the holster and the Makarov are worn, but such is not the case for the Stabdienstuniform because no belt is worn. I am a bit more uncertain as to the Feldienstuniform because whilst I have not seen photographs of the holster being worn at all, the Makarov might nonetheless be carried in the special pockets of the FDA. But this I do not know for sure. I hope this helps.

I know some pictures with the holster but they are rare. As said by Matteo, only with the Dienstuniform and on the right side.

I have read somewhere, maybe here, that the holster and Makarov were very seldom carried in duty ... the Maks were usually kept in military safes ...

Well it would be funny to discover that they wore the rubber Makarovs to fill out their holsters the way we do
fancy our being unknowingly so accurate...

they were carried on duty, i.e. guard duty and OvD, etc....only time I had to carry them was when on 'Streife' or military police with the white holster and gear...there were also some instances when they were carried on FDU, but I can't remember when that was exactly and why...Cheers, Torsten.
