The Seller must be a complete Idiot,if he thinks that there is somebody out there, who believes in this Story. Soviet Officer for the Stuff of the most powerfull Man in East Germany??? Nuts!! I can put the Stuff for 1 Week in my Basement and it smells like 100 Years old. I think thats the explanation for the bad pics.
I also have contact with the guys from Leipzig, as they buy also from me and I have to ask the Chief about the ones they bought.

Strange that is urkunde was signed by honecker???
At this time Hoffman did it.
I'm very confused about these urkunden.I did contact this dealer. She offerd me Mielke's Scharnhorst + verdienter grenzer for 1000 euro yesterday.
Today she wrote me that they where sold for 1100 euro.
I must admit that the urkunden she offerd where not the most easy to get blanco.
The urkunden she sold weren't for sale at Zeige.
If she lived near to my town.I would drive to her and pay that 1000 if I had a good feeling about it.
My personal feeling is that she got these from someone who got it a strange way.

For me,they looked real and I also believe the Story, that a Soviet Officer (probably KGB) had Order to hide or destroy them. They were kept in a Basement for years.

        Have you seen this??

Its an amazing File!! This is just a little part of it. The Seller has 3 big Files with at least 1000Pages each!! of those Information, comming from the Abteilung Staatliche Auszeichnungen.
I offered him a lot of Money for the 3 Files but he wanted to hear more Opinions and now trys to sell each List for 2000EUR.

The content is amazing and probably worth it.

        Regards

I am still not sure what to make of all of this...I still think that there is some good mixed with some bad in these auctions and I certainly think that the Mielke certs are bad ones...but all the others may be good??? Cheers, Torsten.

I'm convinced, they were all real. He had some more Urkunden that he did not list on ebay.
Mielke did get the Verdienter Bauarbeiter,The Verdienter Werktätiger Land & Forstwirtschaft, Seeverkehrswirtschaft,Hufelande,Verdienter Volkspolizist 1985 etc.etc.
He didn't show me the Scharnhorst Urkunde though.
When comparing with the Medals that were sold without Urkunde on Zeige Auction 2004,they match up.
But it seems they are all gone now

              Just something else to consider:

Complete "Groupings" of medals and certificates to just one Soldat, NCO or Officer in the NVA / Grenztruppen seldom ever show up for sale in ebay. But lately, alleged "Partial Groupings" Stopf, Kessler, Haufmann and Mielke have been appearing often. Does that make sense?

Also, wouldn't it make more sense for Groupings or Partial Groupings of medals and their respective Certificates with respect to the above VIPs, to be acquired and sold through an auction house (or their respective family members), and not some housewife or electrician that has an ebay site?

For me, this is similar to Wehrmacht TR III Collecting where the common ebay seller suddenly posts an alleged authentic Para Helm found in a Tractor Shed on a Farm - all these years later.

I'm just attempting to apply some common sense to this .....

of course, the comparison to the para helmet is quite topical in relation to this seller as he has just started a listing with a second para helmet and he says that he is not sure about authenticity and with all these fakes about these days he cannot guarantee anything...but if you have a look at the last couple of feedbacks he received, you will find the feedback from the seller who sold these helmets to him and that seller is openly advertising those helmets as fakes... Cheers, Torsten.

re the Para helmet he is offering, this is the auction: http://cgi.ebay.de/Fallschirmjaeger-...QQcmdZViewItem

this is how he describes it: Biete hier ein Original Fallschirmjägerhelm der Wehrmacht (note the ORIGINAL!!!)

and this is the bloke he bought the helmet from: http://search.ebay.de/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQf...stomQ2dhelmets (ebay seller custom-helmets). This man specialises in fake helmets and make them look genuine and old, but at least he does advertise them as fake and so, our seller here on ebay knows exactly that he has a fake helmet here...after all he bought it from the man who made it...and nevertheless, he still re-sells and advertises it as original...well, make of that what you want but I think it should say something about the character of the seller...don't you think so??? Cheers, Torsten.

I don't want and have to defend the Seller BUT..The Para Helmet he has for Sale is not the Para Helmet he has bought from ebay. Its the Para Helmet he had for Sale last week but ebay probably has kicked his Auction one day before end. The Para Helmet he now is offering has Chicken Wire and Camo and a complete different Liner(the same like the week before). I have met this Guy.He has just opened a Second Hand Shop (An & Verkauf) and has not really a Clue about any Collectibles and for Example didn't know that VVO stands for Vaterländischer....... He also is an Amateur when it comes to take decent Photos inside.
He just buys and sells Stuff, that comes in his Hands from House Clearings and Flea Markets.
                    cheers

Andreas, check the guy's feedback and you will see that he bought the para-helmet(s) from 'custom-helmets' who specialises in fake para helmets, with and without chicken wire...that is where he got the helmet from that he is now selling as original on ebay.... Cheers, Torsten.

I haven't seen them in real but he has told me about it. He has 3 big Files of those Lists each with at least 1000Pages!!
IMO,this is a amazing Find . Problem is,he now trys to sell every single List(a few Pages long) for a huge amount of Money...very stupid idea!!!
                            Good Luck to the Seller.
If I would be very wealthy,I probably would buy it because these are Informations that no one knew so far and it gives a good Overview who received High End Awards in the DDR and also its helps much to find out how many were really awarded. There are also Lists wich people did not receive a Award etc.

here are a few Photos, the Seller has send me
                            regards
