What're these?

My friend bought two badges lately,He want to know what are they.Can anyone help me?

The first is the cap emblem on left,which ministry used it?and what time did it be used?

The second is the big star on right,It looks like the star on shoulder boards of Marschall der DDR,but it is silver,not golden,What's this?

The left Badge is a Forestry Cap Badge used up to 1961. The date of Aproval for the New Style was on Now. 17 1961. I post more details in a new thread. The other one is for the paramilitary GST for enlisted personel.
The gold Star is the normal Officers one and for the Marshal's Stars they made a lot of specimen to decide what to use so they come in a lot of different styles and colours. Because they made only 30 ea. for Straussberg and the Ministry of Defense, the ones you can get oday are repros, but mostly made with the original tools, but I saw also bad repros of them.

Do you mean the big silver pentagon-styled star is one of the specimen of the star on shoulder board of Marschall der DDR?

Silver: Enlisted & Officers up to Landforstmeister
Gold: "Generals" from Oberlandforstmeister to Generalforstmeister
