Great pictures, I was in Berlin between the 3rd and 7th of August, it was my first trip and I can't wait to go back. I went on a couple of good walks and they only cost 9 euro's for each trip (3 to 4 hours long). I did a 3rd Reich one first then the following day a red berlin tour. Hit the town on the Friday night and enjoyed the bars, the beer was good and a reasonable price to!! Bring on the next visit.

      Cheers

      James.

Well I arrived back today from my trip to Berlin. Was absolutely fantastic!
Got lots of fab photographs! And met a bunch of interesting people. Met up with Uscob/Nico and he gave me a guided tour of his Thrift Shop Has lots of wonderful DDR/NVA militaria, anything you need he has!! I mean he has everything!! Bought an Officer's Grentztruppen uniform from him, last pattern of rain drop camo uniform (rank slide on the arm) and a set of Y-Straps. He also gave me a tour of the US Military museum (McNair Barracks) that he is a part of and thanks to him for that!

Anyway I visited many places of interest and took lots of photographs. Ive posted them on my site as Id be here for ever posting them up. Oh I visted that new DDR museum too!

Sitting in the Trabant was good fun! Its like a little dinky toy car! Id prob still own one for the novelty of it. You were right, hardly a Trabant to be seen in Berlin!

Regarding the girls, yes ahem!....... certainly had a good time if you know what I mean.

I'm off to Berlin in a couple of weeks.

Fourth trip........but still lots to see.

Every time I go back, they've built a couple of dozen more skyscrapers!

Hello Rob : Thanks for the photo of your nice Tunic . Mint condition , never worn ,since it still has the issue paper on the sleeve . What else did you buy, besides the beers???

Hello Robin : One of the " must see items " in Berlin is the Zeughaus Museum with all German militaria from way back , Prussia , WWI, 3RD Reich , WWII --and DDR . It is right next to the 'WACHE" with the memorial to the unknown soldiers. Last time I was there it just had been re-opened after they corrected all the anti-faschist displays the former DDR had put up in the place . They also had a piece of the wall and a Trabant below it on display. They also have a military hat worn by Napoleon!

                        Thanks for the tip Doug!
That place wasn't open the last time I was there, but I'll be sure to give it a visit this time.
