Anyway, I am really looking for a copy of

Klaus Walther,
Uniformeffekten der bewaffneten Organe der DDR
Band 1: Ministerium des Innern 1949 - 1990

I already have Band 2 dealing with Min. für Nationale verteidigung and Nin. für Staatssicherheit.

Many thanks for naming that site, which I didn't know about. Although it didn't turn up a Walther vol. 1, I did find references to some other books I have wanted for some time. This is one site I'll be turning to regularly from now on!
