    100 Friedenskilometer Badge

Does anyone know what this badge was awarded for? I assume it has something to do with a 100km walk of some sort?? Does anyone know of more badges of this type with shorter or longer distances on it? This badge is dated 1961...is anyone aware of the same badge for different years? Cheers, Torsten.

Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

While looking for something else, I just managed to find the answers to my questions... the badge is shown in the Bartel book, item number 970c. It is for walk and there are no other km numbers, but there are a few other and quite differently designed badges for doing the 100km in different years. Cheers, Torsten.
