    Date code on Kartentasche

I've just bought a new Kartentasche in my collection. I will send in WAF pics as soon as possible, because I had never see one like this :

smaller than "classic" Kartentasche, all hooks are definitely gilted, made of brown leather.... Who was it destinated for??....

About the date code, I can't translate it :

    TGL XXXXXXX (can't read)
    III./MC3

    What does MC3 mean ?.....

    1 : gilted
    2 : bent
    3 : gilted metal reinforcement

could you show pics of the inside? For me it looks like a pretty normal army Kartentasche?? Cheers, Torsten.

Yes I think it's a normal Kartentasche too, but what is unusual is how it's stamped. "III./MC3"

what date is MC3?? I wrote ddr nva MC3 on google, but found nothing...

I wil post pics last week, but waiting for those, if someone has ever seen an item stamped like this?? MC3

I'd really like to be able to date the period of use of my map-case (goddamned MC3 lol)

I have 3 mapcases. They******180;re opriginal, because I got them during my NVA-time. There******180;s no "MC3"-stamp in each of them.

But it could also be the name of the unit, the former "NVArian" served in...?!?!
