    Silver VVO & Urkunde 1978

This arrived from Germany yesterday. It's a nice example of a later Silver VVO, issued in 1978 (no back mark). The medal shows honest aging. The case is in excellent shape, as is the Urkunde. However, the cover had an ink spill on the bottom of it, and the clean up was only partially successful. There are three pictures at my site below. No picture of the back, it did not turn out.

PS I added a picture of the back of the Silver VVO and the Bronze for comparison!

HI Jeff, since noone else seems to want to comment on your purchase, I will..;-))...I think it looks great I just bought my first VVO last week and can't wait to hold it in my hands soon enough...Cheers, Torsten.

Thanks, Torsten for stepping forward for all of us... Also, do you know the timeframe of your VVO medal you are getting???

Jeff, Thanks for posting your VVO medal with its award. I know you said that there were no pictures of the back of the medal, but could you describe what the back of the medal looks like. Thanks...

Torsten, when you do get your VVO medal, please post it on the forum. For me, I am always interesting in seeing other DDR medals no matter what version they are. Also, congrats in getting your first VVO medal...

Very nice silver VVO, and certificate! This is the first time that I have seen a gray box for the VVO. Here is my bronze VVO in a red box.

                  Thanks Mike!

I must say that Jeff has the catch of the day with his silver VVO. I really think that the enamel around the hammer/square is a real eye catcher!

                      Hallo Torsten,
es ist eine der letzten Ausgaben des VVO.Bei der letzten Variante war der Nadelbock "geklammert",bei Deinem Stück ist er noch angeschraubt.
hier noch ein paar Bilder von älteren Varianten.
