Don - Thanks for posting the latest photographs of the palast. So what other sites have you visited...Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

I suppose in some respects, one can be content with the fact that it lasted almost 20 years after the collapse in Nov 89.
Change is inevitable. I am always on my Bi-annual visits, amazed at what has not changed or what has not been torn down.
Because I actually lived in Berlin - twice; for me it seems like it was only yesterday that I was standing out in front of it. Now it is hardly even a skeleton. And before much longer, it won't exist at all.
Kevin, hope your short 2 days were not a disappointment. I know when I revisit Berlin, it isn't just the former military aspect that holds my interest. I always found the whole city to be of interest - and particularly enjoy the different restaurants and cuisine.Michael D. GALLAGHER

Mike - I'd not been back to Berlin since 1991. The trip was primarily for the benifit of our daughter who was 4 when we left Berlin and had very few memories of it. So we took here to most of the main attractions in Berlin with the limited time we had. And I got my fill of good German food and beer along the way! Kevin
