Hi Christer, the APC is a Soviet BTR 152. For more info see here:

          http://www.aeronautics.ru/archive/ar...es/btr-152.htm

The weapons are not MP40's but folding stock AK 47's I think.

          Cheers, Ade.

Hi ,Thanks for the info Ade and Thälmannpioneer

Theese pics iare orginals about 18x12,5 cm bought on German E

They are numbered 3,15,5,16 so I think the belong to some sort of

The APC in the second photograph is a Russian built BTR152. THe DDR produced trucks (IFA etc.) and jeep-likes (P2, P3) but not armour to the best of my knowledge. I suspect the bulk of their armour came from the USSR but some from Poland too (T72s I think...). This is not to say that they might not have upgraded armoured vehicles as I believe it happened with modernising packages for the T55s in the last stages, but not armour built from scratch.

I have a the book"Soldaten des Volkes" from 1966 and I found the pic from your 1st post in it.

I will post some nice pics from the book in the next minutes. Have no scanner so I have to take digi-pics from the photos out of the book..it`ll take a little while

                  cheers Andreas
