        A small DDR display

Soviet, I hope to have a display room like yours at some stage in the future.

Here is a Zivilverteidigung plaque that will be part of it:

The lovely thing is that it's hand made. For sure the base plate is machine turned, but the details have been chiseled by hand.

For that reason I think it's not a mass produced item. Has anyone seen one of these before?

Sorry I missed your earlier post. Very nice indeed. Your small collection is getting bigger.

Soviet, that is a really nice and simple display! The two signs and Marx and Lenin complement the uniform quite well.

Altough I've been on this forum for several months now, I forgot to introduce myself. I am from the Czech Republic and two years ago I started collecting NVA summer field uniform and equipment. Since then, I've added a few other things, randomly found. Because I don't have much space to have a larger display (or a whole mannequin for that matter) and I don't want to spend larger sums, it's only modest sofar. But it is true what they say, start small and then get bigger every day!

                      This is my display case.

And this is my NVA field gear. Note that the Nr.1 Sturmgepack is filled with original items.

Nice display, Hutier. I'd be interested in seeing the contents of the sturmgepack as well.

I'm slowly getting a bit of the field gear together too, so it would be interesting to see what you have that I'm missing.
                        Cheers,

This should be almost complete contents, but my copy of the Grundwissen doesn't state what was inside, so i'm relying on other sources.

I'm not realy sure, because this thing is puzzling. It has NVA marks, but the guy wasn't drafted, he was only checked and found fit for duty. But thats it, he aparently did not serve in the army.

Only other filled page is the one that says he is fit for duty, but he was only in one Musterung (don't know if this word have english equivalent).
