    shoulderboards

    I got also a pair of major shoulderboards. They look quite old but I don't know i'm really not an expert, it is possible to date them to a specific period?

      Kolani Stabsmatrose dated 1959
      paradetunic Feldwebel artillery dated 1959 I guess the piping was changed from red to white in 1961
      And a very rar 1960s Dienstjacke Generalsmajor

                I am collecting all sorts of different things, the DDR passport and now I am actively seek a West German passport as well. I have just purchased 3 DDR medals, a SED member book, a SED Honor Badge, a DDR flag, 3 photos of the Berlin Wall / Border crossing stations, etc.

                  Off to a good start my friend.

                  One day I will need to acquire a DDR passport and SED membership book. I think my next purchase will be a pair of DDR soldiers ID tags, and a set of West German ID tags

                      thats the version from 1985-90
                      front 4 lines (2 small & 2 wide)
                      back 2 lines
                      looks sames as the silver Dienst / Parade version.

                          DeWayne - I just saw your latest post in this thread. Does the helmet belong to you? Great piece to have in your collection. Also, is there any East German markings?

                            Yessir, she just arrived in my collection direct from Germany. The previous owner was a former member of the East German Air Force. I have yet to have the time actually sit down and examine the interior and all but I will sit down soon and if I find something Ill photograph them for review

                              All of my East German pilot helmets are of Soviet origin.
