I hope you got it for a song. It is not real. But, there are many out there that are into reenactment venues of various military organizations, including the former East German Army. We have members on the forum here that delve into that sort of thing. It might be something of interest to them, if you hopefully, did not pay too much for it.

News in 1980's

I remember watching news on tv in the 1980's with the eastern block parades,And when I joined the Guards Depot as a junior leader we spent a day every week in the education wing,the walls had rows of uniforms from eastern block. We where always trained about there tactics and what would happen to you if they captured you.or was that another name for BULLYING

When I started Collecting TR item's they was just about affordable,
And now I can kit out a full NVA soldier for the price of a wehrmact m36 tunic.

Most of my GDR collectibles are kept in Riker mounts and boxes, but two shelves in my display cabinet hold GDR items (the other ones are occupied by 1957ers). Nothing rare there, but I think they display well.

Next to the cabinet are three frames with cuff titles, half of which are GDR, the other half FRG.

I might post some photos of my still WIP infantry impression and my most definite WIP (in my opinion) tanker impression. I haven't been on this forum for too long. Regardless, give me a few to pull up the photos. I collect the uniform for use, though as long as it doesn't involve too much harsh use at times and if it's in good condition. Anyhow, I think I can pull up a few joke photos of me in my tanker impression. So if wearing the uniforms is scrutinized, then let this be a quick heads up... I guess. I'll try to find the photos of my infantry impression.

Here's some photos I just took. Personally, I like the gas mask bag being over my canteen and grenade pouch. It's much more comfortable... especially with my assault pack. I need to get some more items for my existence load, and for my fighting load, I need nbc gear, a flashlight, a rifle, and a bayonet and E-tool.
